What the form collects
The details you type in:
- your business or practice name, city, and trade or specialty;
- your website, if you give it;
- your email address, and that you ticked the consent box.
Added automatically when you send the form: the address of the page you sent it from, the time, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. The form also sends how long it was open; that is used to spot spam and is not kept.
Why we collect it
To run the free check you asked for. We turn your trade or specialty and city into ten questions, ask them, compare what AI says about you with your website, and email you the results. The time, IP address and user-agent are used only to stop spam and repeated requests.
Who sees it
- Us. We read your request and approve the results email before it is sent.
- Our form service runs on Microsoft Azure in the United States, in the East US region. It stores your request there and emails us a notification through Azure.
- DataForSEO, the service that asks the AI tools our questions. The questions can include your business name and city. They never include your email address.
- The AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews) receive those questions through DataForSEO, like any other search.
We don’t sell your details or share them with anyone else. This site has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and its fonts are served from this site. Like any web host, GitLab, which serves these pages, may keep standard request logs such as IP addresses.
We email you the results of the check you asked for, and we reply if you write back. We don’t add you to a mailing list. If we ever want to send you anything else, we will ask first.
How long we keep it
We keep your request and your results for 24 months after your check, so we can answer questions about it, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
